Hi Everyone 👋
It’s Thanksgiving in the US this week! During this time of the year, I’d like to count my blessings and be thankful. After all, I have many reasons to be thankful this year.
Giving Thanks
First, my readers of FontDiscovery - Thank you so much for supporting me and motivating me to write and keep up with the newsletter.
Before this newsletter, I have never written habitually. I didn’t keep a journal or blog. As a student, I clawed my way out of any writing assignments. If you told the younger me that I’ll write a weekly newsletter one day, I wouldn’t believe you.
Fast forward to now, FontDiscovery is one of the most rewarding projects I have ever done. I learned so much. Thank you for supporting me weekly! 🌻
Second, Typogram’s community of supporters and pre-order customers. Thank you for believing us early on. It’s scary to launch something. Having your support and product validation meant the world to an indie maker like me. Thank you!
⭐ And if you are interested, there is still time to get Typogram’s pre-order deal. 🙈
Third, my co-founder, Wenting, with whom I worked tirelessly to launch Typogram this year. It’s been our dream to build a beginner-friendly designer tool. In our journey so far, we have had wins. We have had setbacks. Wenting is documenting these in her build-in-public newsletter. It’s a seed we are growing, and I’m so excited to see where it goes!
A Small Gift
As a small token of thanks, here is a new version of Catogram, an illustration pack filled with cats, hears, and all holiday goodness. You can use it to create social media graphics, blog post images, or however you like. I hope it’ll bring you a little cuteness and joy.
⭐ You can download the kit via my Gumroad page by clicking the bottom below. Just use the coupon code “font”, and it will be free. ✨
Finally, I wanted to share a great quote. As an amateur follower of Philosophy, I recently came across Letters from a Stoic by Seneca, a well-known Roman philosopher.
“For we are mistaken when we look forward to death; the major portion of death has already passed. Whatever years behind us are in death’s hands.”
Treasure your time. “Hold every hour in your grasp.” Fill it with things and people you love.
Have the most wonderful week filled with joy!
Best,
Hua
Have a great Thanksgiving to you Hua!
