Hi Everyone 👋
I hope you had a lovely long weekend!
For most of last week, I worked on a variable icon project for my startup Typogram. Previously, we created Anicons, animated color and variable icons for Google Fonts, and this project uses the same technology. It was a nice break to think on a slightly different part of my brain.
Working on this has also reminded me how vital good documentations are. For this complex project, I have to do a lot of digging into forums and tutorials. Luckily, the software I’m using (Glyphs) has the most extensive, comprehensible tutorials in a straightforward manner. I’m deeply appreciative of how much time and care the makers put into writing these - I strive to be like them someday.
So, the short TLDR version is - if you are a maker, learn how to write good tutorials and documentation - it’s how people (your users/customers) will learn (to use/love your product)!
